จากที่เคยแจ้งว่า Horoyoi Sakaba ภาพยนตร์เรื่องใหม่ที่อัตสึชิรับแสดงโดยที่ผู้กำกับคือคนที่เคยกำกับภาพยนตร์ที่เขาเคยเล่นเมื่อตอนอยู่ ป.6 วันนี้มีความคืบหน้าค่ะ โดยหนังจะเข้าฉายเดือนมิถุนายน ปี 2017 โดยอัตสึชิจะรับบทเป็นมนุษย์เงินเดือน และสึดะ คันจิ จะรับบทเป็นยากูซ่าที่คอยมาขู่อัตสึชิอยู่เป็นประจำ

Atsushi Ito: Because the co-stars have come to the shooting site with a nice seasoning not written on the script, it was quite helpful. It was a lot of fun playing so much that the events at [Dotsubo bar] were realistically occurring.
